Here are the general qualifications to be accepted as residents of our home:
- must be 55 years of age or older
- may need assistance with mobility
- may require self-help devices
- may need assistance with meals, which may include feeding
- may require an established therapeutic diet
- may require assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- may be incontinent without pressure sores
- may exhibit symptoms of mental or emotional disturbance, but are not considered at risk of imminent harm to self or others
- may have dementia, but not diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
- may be hearing impaired or speech impaired
- may need assistance with medications, supervision of self-medication, or administration of medication
- may require encouragement to eat or monitoring due to social or psychological reasons or temporary illness
- may have a feeding tube, catheter, and oxygen
- may require temporary services by professional personnel (such as Physical therapist, Occupational therapist, Speech therapist, Dietician, Social Worker, Registered Nurse)
- must not be permanently bedfast
- must not require a mechanical lift to transfer
- must have the financial resources to pay the assessed fees
